Pair Of Consoles Stamped Schneider From The Château De Saint-cloud
A pair of mahogany and mahogany veneer consoles with a curved, curved front. They rest on fluted and filleted uprights terminating in spirals.
Fine-chased foliate and gilded bronzes are framed by pearl friezes.
Stamped CASPAR SCHNEIDER, cabinetmaker received master on March 15, 1786, and bears the mark JME.
White Carrara marble top.
Our pair of consoles also bears the mark of the Château de Saint-CLoud.
Louis XVI period.
