Beautiful Whist card box - 19th century marquetry - ref OUI16WI001. Beautiful marquetry crafted from various materials, with a few small chips (on the trim) and minor damage. Quite presentable as is. Inlaid with brass, tortoiseshell, and mother-of-pearl. Made of ebony and Macassar ebony. Excellent lettering with foliage integrated into the letters. The main decorative elements are in excellent condition. The box may or may not need restoration. It features internal compartments for storing chips and playing cards.
