Set Of 3 Large Clown-shaped Blown Glass Carafes, Murano, Italy, Vintage 1960s-1970s

Sold as a set or individually, €500 each. A rare and beautiful collector's set, comprising three large Murano glass clown decanters or bottles, vintage circa 1960-1975. Each clown has an ovoid body in speckled glass, topped with a figurative stopper forming the head, with hot-applied collars, hands, buttons, and expressive details. The blue clown measures 35.5cm in maximum height with the stopper, 25cm without, 16cm wide, and 10-12cm deep. The green clown measures 39.5cm in maximum height with the stopper, 30cm without, 14cm wide, and 10cm deep. Finally, the yellow clown measures 40cm in maximum height with the stopper, 30cm without, 15cm wide, and 9-10cm deep. All three pieces are in perfect condition; only the stopper of the yellow clown has a slight chip at the base, invisible when closed. Each piece weighs 2-3 kilos. Preserved in their original condition, they will be gently cleaned before shipping.
