This work is a pictorial offering of almost sacrilegious sensuality, where the brush manages to capture the marble magnificence of the great Baroque temple in a multitude of iridescent reflections, sublimely tinted with the heavy, feverish vapors exhaled by the lagoon. The colossus of Longhena, stripped of its earthly weight, appears unexpectedly light, shimmering beneath the curve of its sovereign dome like a mystical pearl immersed in an ether of twilight greens, bewitching blues, and faded ochres. This is a chromatic chronicle of the decadent atmosphere of the City of the Doges, where the architecture seems to dissolve in the light, transmuting the stone into a dreamlike vision that vibrates with the same melancholic ardor as a summer sunset on the Grand Canal.
