"Cherry Wood Chest Of Drawers, Louis-philippe Style – 1900"
This elegant chest of drawers, crafted from solid cherry wood, features a top edged with a chamfered edge, lending it a refined and traditional finish. The top has canted edges at the front, as do the uprights and legs, creating a harmonious and structured silhouette. The chest has five drawers, including one cleverly concealed within the lower plinth. Four of the drawers are fitted with working locks, each with its own key. The finely crafted, repoussé brass keyhole escutcheons depict delicate leaf and ribbon motifs, adding a subtle decorative touch. The cherry veneer on the drawer fronts is book-sawn, creating a natural symmetry of grain and visual geometry. Each drawer is framed with moldings that elegantly accentuate the lines of the piece. Finally, the lower plinth is also molded, reinforcing the classic and refined character of this piece. This chest of drawers exudes an impression of balance and simplicity, combined with magnificent cherry wood tones.********Period: 1900 Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
