Louis XV-Style "Oeil de Boeuf" Cage Chandelier in Gilt Bronze and Cut Crystal, c. 1880

This French chandelier, inspired by the designs of Maison Baguès, embodies the elegance and refinement of the Louis XV cage style. It features eight peripheral crystal daggers and a large central dagger, along with an interior crystal ball. The upper section is adorned with large crystal plaques, numerous stars, and rosettes, culminating in a cut crystal finial. The chandelier illuminates with twelve candle arms, each fitted with electrification and opaline false candles, compliant with European standards. Adaptation to American standards is available upon request.
The "Oeil de Boeuf" name originates from the original model, which was placed in the Salon de l’Oeil de Boeuf and remains there to this day.
