This antique armchair, fully cane-backed, is a remarkable example of the French Regence style. Crafted from natural molded and carved wood, it features a refined decoration of scallop shells, acanthus leaves, and clasps. The armchair stands on elegantly curved and spiraled legs, characteristic of this period.

This piece exemplifies interesting and elegant French craftsmanship typical of the French Regence period circa  1720.
