8-light Chandelier In Gilded Bronze With Crystal Tassels

Elegant chandelier with 8 gilt bronze light arms and crystal pendants. A crown of 4 gilt bronze acanthus leaves surmounts a twisted shaft ringed and decorated with foliage in low relief. This shaft rests on a basin formed of leaves in rounded alignment from which 8 S-shaped light arms escape and are decorated alternately with acanthus leaves and eagle heads sculpted and finely chiseled. Four leafy Medici-shaped bobeches also alternate with four bobeches forming blossoming buds decorated with vine branches and leaves. A finely chiseled inverted bud holds 2 pearls, a rosette and a "Fin de lustre" in cut crystal. A chain (original) as well as a gilt bronze rosette allow this chandelier to be harmoniously fixed to the ceiling. Chandelier + chain = 130 cm but the chain can be reduced. Magnificent quality work in gilded bronze from the 19th century!
