A superb fan from the late 19th century. The mount is made of blond tortoiseshell and adorned with a gold monogram. The leaf is needlepoint lace, decorated with two silk cartouches delicately painted in gouache and signed by the artist. It measures 13,97 inches closed and 25,98 inches in diameter when open. France, circa 1890.
