All-metal Battle Axe, 16th-century Style

This war axe is made entirely of metal, in the style of the 16th century, but manufactured in the 19th century. The head and handle of the axe are richly decorated:
AXE HEAD: On one side, within a medallion surrounded by branches and oak leaves, is a bearded man facing forward. On the other side, there is a similar decoration, but in the center of the medallion, is a portrait of a crowned monarch, now largely effaced. Cutting edge length: 14 cm. Opposite the cutting edge is a double-curved spike, which on the original model was designed to slip into the joints of armor to dislocate it. A conical point beginning with balusters extends the handle beyond the axe head for 10.2 cm
SHAFT: It is decorated first with plant motifs, then with a crowned coat of arms, and finally with three fleurs-de-lis. A flower-shaped motif joins the twisted section of the grip. The handle terminates in a double Janus-faced figure of bearded men.
The entire weapon is made of cast iron and is relatively heavy at 1.4 kg. It is in very good condition, and while this axe may not have the four centuries of age of the original model, it remains attractive and decorative at a reasonable price.
