A beautiful and heavy statuette, in the antique style, depicting a young woman draped in classical attire, holding a mirror in her left hand and a snake coiled around her arm, its head held in her right. The drapery is exquisitely detailed. Her hair is gathered in a braided chignon at the nape of her neck. It has a lovely dark brown patina. 19th century, a copy of an antique piece, possibly from Italy or France.
