Pastel portrait of a young noblewoman, a marquise or countess, from the 18th century, during the reign of Louis XVI. She is ravishing with her powdered wig and porcelain complexion, reflecting the fashion of the monarchy at Versailles and in high society. It is presented in an early 19th-century giltwood frame with stuccoed corners in the shape of coats of arms. It is protected by glass. Dimensions with frame: 51 cm x 48.50 cm.
