Louis XVI Period Rosewood Box
A Louis XVI period rosewood box, late 18th century. Rectangular in shape, this box is veneered in rosewood on all sides and decorated on the front and top with silver stringing and finely inlaid mother-of-pearl circles. The interior retains its original materials: wallpaper for the base and floral silk for the inside of the lid. Some wear and losses are present. The original lock is functional and fitted with an antique key. The original French polish is in good condition. Dimensions: W 27.5 x D 20 x H 10.5 cm
