A pair of engravings after two compositions by Nicolas Lavreince, titled "Le billet doux" and "Qu'en dit l'abbé par Nicolas de Launay." Color prints from the late 19th century, framed. Image size: 48 x 34 cm and 49 x 34 cm respectively. Nicolas Lavreince (1737-1807) was a painter of Swedish origin who specialized in France in his interior scenes of the Ancien Régime, so highly prized by the Goncourt brothers. Also included is a framed reproduction of an engraving by Louis Prevost after Augustin de Saint Aubin, titled "Le bal paré," measuring 49 x 59 cm.
