Rare Pende mask called Panya Ngombe. This mask is half-animal, half-human; it was not used for dancing, but hung in the chief's hut or on his door lintel. A very rare mask, in the West it is nicknamed Yoda, for its resemblance to the famous Star Wars character, which is very true in this case! Beautiful old patina, some wear, perhaps a local repair or a crack. 28 cm wide by 21 cm high.
