Paris Porcelain Clock Circa 1830 In The Style Of Jacob Petit
Artist: Dans Le Style De Jacob Petit
A very beautiful porcelain clock with rich, hand-painted polychrome decoration and gilding, dating from around 1830. This very large clock is in perfect condition, with no visible chips, cracks, or flaws, and is entirely in keeping with the style of the renowned porcelain artist Jacob Petit in 19th-century Paris. A handwritten mark is present under the base, as you will notice, but I have been unable to identify it. This piece is quite old and is definitely not from the 20th century, but rather from the 19th century. You will also notice the exquisite detail of the decoration and the interesting style of the stylized figure depicting a corsair, as well as the precision of the hand-painted roses and foliage. The original gilding is well-preserved with its light patina. Beautiful dimensions: 50 cm high, 28.5 cm wide, 15.5 cm deep. It comes in two parts. The mechanism is also antique, but the pendulum is missing, and the dial has some small cracks, visible in the photos (the photos also serve as a description of the item). Particular care will be taken with the packaging, using polystyrene sheets, bubble wrap, newspaper, and other necessary protection, in at least three thick cardboard boxes or a rigid box for export. Worldwide shipping. I prefer shipping via Mondial Relay for practical reasons, but also accept other types of transport. It is even possible to use the Youpala website for insurance. Or you can pick it up directly in Nevers. Price: €1300
