A fine antique watercolor from the 19th century depicting an elegant young woman on a terrace, painted by Marcel Blairat in 1882. It is clearly signed and dated by the artist in the lower right corner. We note the exquisite execution of this work by this artist, born in 1849 in Roquemaure and died in 1891 in Paris. He began his Parisian exhibitions at the Salon in 1877, and others throughout the city. He generally depicted Orientalist scenes and also produced engravings, some of which were used in magazines of the time. Many of his paintings are regularly featured in Parisian auctions. The dimensions are 40.3 cm by 26.2 cm for the watercolor itself, which is presented in a passe-partout frame. The visible dimensions are 36.8 cm by 24.5 cm. The dimensions of the mount are 161.5 cm by 47.5 cm. It is in perfect condition, without stains or tears. The frame is not Present. Worldwide shipping in very good packaging.
