Drawing on blue-grey paper signed Katow for Paul de Katow, born in Strasbourg in 1834 and died in Asnières in 1897. From an aristocratic family, he held the title of Baron. He was a student of Delacroix and also worked as a journalist and illustrator, hence his recurring appearances in Alexandre Dumas's newspaper. The sheet is in perfect condition, with a crease and no restoration. Sheet size: 29.6 x 21 cm
