"Pair Of Directory Candelabra By Galle"
Pair of gilt bronze candlesticks / candelabras (superb mercury gilding) work of Claude Galle. Directoire quiver model, model referenced as simple candlesticks in an almost identical way at the Château de Fontainebleau (by JP Samoyault, n*163, page 181 and referenced in the Garde meuble for Trianon (still in situ) model supplied by Galle around 1807/1808. Extremely rare model with removable candelabra branches, a tiny lack at the edge of a bobèche (last photo)
