Large portrait of a woman reading, portrait from the English school of the early 18th century, bearing on the reverse an inscription Jonathan Richardson (1665-1745) followed by what appears to be an inventory number. Painting entirely comparable to the works of this painter. Later stretcher from the early 19th century by Roberson in London circa 1810. Remains of an exhibition label on the reverse. Old frame, perhaps its original frame.
