The Doors: Decorated with large, triple-contoured "mouvementé" panels, they feature inlaid scenes of flower baskets and birds, surrounded by "butterfly-wing" (book-matched) veneer work.
The Cornice: Adorned with a geometric "diamond point" frieze (trompe-l'œil cubes) framing a central medallion depicting a radiant sunburst.
The Lower Rail: Magnifically carved with scrolling foliage (rinceaux) and a flower vase, it rests on curved "pied de biche" (hoof) feet.
The Interior: The armoire has retained its original shelves and interior drawers, all lined with a red damask fabric featuring Louis XV style motifs, adding a further touch of nobility to the piece.
Mounts: Substantial original cast brass hardware, including long "vase-topped" hinges and finely chased escutcheons with floral decor.
