19th-century solid cherry wood center table, featuring an unusual base of eight turned legs ending in their original bronze casters. This "English-style" model offers exceptional versatility:
Closed position: A compact console or center table with two lateral drop-leaves.
Open position: A large circular tabletop.
Maximum extension: Thanks to its telescopic runner system and central support legs, it can accommodate several leaves (included) to transform into a large banquet table.
Provenance: Former furniture piece from the University of Paris VI (Pierre and Marie Curie). A sound, robust, and finely crafted piece of furniture that has retained an authentic patina of age. The eight-leg base ensures perfect stability, even when fully extended. The runners are in perfect working order.
