Stunning bisque busts from the Imperial Manufacture of Sèvres. After the fall of the Ancien Régime, the heroes of the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Empire were brought back to light. These two busts, depicting Marceau and Hoche, Napoleon's subordinates during his military campaigns, are an example. Both busts are marked in blue under the base and stamped on the back of the body.
