Mirror With Parcloses, Napoleon III Period
Rectangular mirror with moldings, in carved and gilded wood, late 19th century, Napoleon III period. The frame is adorned with moldings featuring relief decoration, alternating vegetal friezes and beaded motifs. The side moldings and the lower rail are fitted with antique glass. The added pediment features a carved decoration centered on a winged eagle, accompanied by scrolling foliage. Traces of old restoration are visible on the pediment, particularly at the back, without affecting the overall stability. The central glass and the moldings show pitting and other damage. Condition consistent with its age, with wear to the gilding and visible signs of age; the mirror is presented in its original condition. W 69 x H 110 x D 10 cm
