Set Of Three Egyptian Tapestries Circa 1920
This set of tapestries is most certainly a travel "souvenir" dating from around the 1920s. Woven on a linen warp, they are topstitched with motifs inspired by the temples and other frescoes discovered by Egyptologists seeking glory and recognition. Our three tapestries need restoration, although I find them much more charming in their current state.
