The weapons are presented in a trunk-shaped box covered in black morocco leather edged with gold piping. The interior is lined with satin and blue velvet.
Two molded compartments hold the pistols. On the right, a compartment was used to store bullets. In the center, an ebony screwdriver is housed in a lid, which conceals the bullet mold and the percussion cap box.
The pistols themselves are double-barreled, superimposed, and fire percussion caps. They are ribbon-forged and colored with sanguine chalk. The hammers and frames are blued gray. The triggers are retractable. The entire piece is engraved with floral motifs and friezes.
The rounded grips are made of varnished black wood.
