Drawing Of A Young Girl, émile Loubon (1809-1863), Marseille School
Artist: émile Loubon (1809-1863)
On fine quality paper, a pencil drawing signed by the Provençal painter Émile Loubon (1809-1863) depicting a young girl. This adolescent girl is shown in three-quarter view, with a pretty ribbon in her hair. The label on the back, now almost illegible, seems to indicate the model's identity. Émile Loubon trained at the School of Drawing in Aix-en-Provence, and in 1845 he became director of the practical drawing school at the School of Fine Arts in Marseille. There is a damp stain in the lower left corner, and the glass in the frame is missing. Otherwise, it is in very good condition. Dimensions: 22.5 x 17 cm. Free shipping within mainland France.
