Elegant French étui from the 18th century, Louis XV period, crafted in 18-carat gold and decorated with translucent ultramarine-blue enamel over a guilloché ground. The reddish-brown enamel medallions display delicate gold paillons depicting pastoral motifs with birds and flowering branches, framed by fine gilt floral garlands. The interior bears partially worn 18th-century French gold marks. An exceptional piece in outstanding condition, with perfectly preserved enamel and remarkable brilliance.
