18th Century Walnut Wedding Chest
Large 18th-Century Walnut Chest with an Architectural Front.
Elegant walnut chest with a beautifully crafted, floral, and architectural front dating from the first half of the 18th century.
It is large and offers ample storage space.
The front and sides are exquisitely worked and carved with geometric arcading and acanthus leaves.
It rests on claw feet, simulated lion's paws reminiscent of Italian cassone chests.

A movable cleat allows it to be left open.
The lock and key are old but have been replaced over time.
Minor restoration for use and maintenance has had no impact.
Preventive treatment with Xylophene.
Superb patina of the light walnut.
A very beautiful and highly decorative storage chest.
