The Knife Grinder, Milichus And The Rotator Or The Rotator, Beautiful Bronze Of The Grand Tour
Grand Tour Bronze, The Arrotino or Scythian Skinner, Mid-19th Century. Superb Grand Tour bronze depicting the Arrotino or Scythian Skinner.
Linked to mythology and the famous myth of Apollo and Marsyas, the Scythian was a slave in the service of the god who had to skin Marsyas.
Our bronze is based on the famous marble discovered in the 16th century and located in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
This bronze is superb in terms of casting and chasing quality; look at the fineness of the details: the face with the sideburns on the temples, the fineness of the mustache and beard, but also the fingers and toes.
The slightly golden, medal-colored patina is very well preserved and has a beautiful glaze.
very faithful to the original statue, which is considered one of the most beautiful antique sculptures visible today, our bronze powerfully and beautifully reproduces its original model.
A very beautiful bronze from the mid-19th century.
Souvenir of the Grand Tour.
