A very pretty and rather rare oil on panel by Frédéric Lauth depicting a view of Venice around 1900, signed and located in the upper right corner, with a dedication on the back by Aurore Sand: "This study by Frédéric Lauth was made in Venice and exhibited at the Galerie Charpentier on Rue Saint-Honoré after the artist's death, Aurore Lauth Sand." The painting alone measures 19 x 25 cm (excluding the frame) and 23 x 32 cm (including the frame).
