Ancient Mamluk Persian Orientalist Basin, 19th Century

Very old Mamluk "Tas" basin of Persian art, most likely from the Fars region.
Made of richly decorated brass with elaborate animal motifs in a floral setting.
Inscriptions in Tuluth script are found in two cartouches.
The upper rim features chiseling and perforations, revealing two stylized geometric friezes, and another frieze at the base adorned with flowering branches.
A very fine example of ancient folk art, most likely dating from the 15th to 17th centuries.
Height of the basin: 9.8 cm.
With handle: 15.4 cm.
Diameter at the widest point: 16.3 cm.
