"Painting 17th José Robledo Spanish School Of Antequera And Seville 1690"
Exceptional 17th-century painting from the Spanish school of Antequera. Oil on canvas, original to the period and later mounted on canvas, with a keyed frame and presented in a 19th-century gilt frame. It is signed in a cartouche in the form of a scroll, José Robledo, and dated 1690. Small dent without a hole on the right (nothing serious and visible in the photos). An in-depth study was conducted by Professor Fernandes Lopes, a leading Spanish specialist in this type of painting (see the last two photos). This study revealed significant artistic interest and a better understanding of the Antequera school, as the specialist explains. This painting was examined in person by the specialist, not through photographs. An estimate of € 9,500 to € 10,000 has been set for this canvas, which resurfaced in 2019 after having apparently been forgotten for centuries in a presbytery attic in France. The discovery of this painting enriches the artist's inventory, as detailed in the report. You will notice the richness and precision of the decoration, specific to this style of painting by José Robledo. This painting is intended for true connoisseurs of 17th-century religious paintings. Dimensions without frame: 65.5 x 54 cm. Further detailed photos are available upon request. The transaction will preferably be conducted in person for French buyers.
