A remarkable American quilt, Log Cabin, circa 1860, originating from a New England state, Pennsylvania or Connecticut. The fine quality of its fabrics, even though well-worn, allows it to be dated to the 1860s-80s, perhaps even earlier.
The original border and the small red and blue ties make it a particularly interesting piece.
It is worn and patinated; it has clearly seen good use, yet it has retained all its charm.
A very beautiful piece to display as a tapestry.
