Lise Cormery organized an exhibition for her in her gallery in 1988 with a catalog of her works, a preface by Ghislaine Ottenheimer and a text by Véra Székely, a major sculptor of the Post-War School of Paris.
Catherine's universe is not limited to sculpture.
She grew up in a world of colors with an artist mother who filed a patent in 1947 for the creation of bookbinding papers. Painting is second nature to her. Her palette is vibrant, she defines herself as a colorist. She will produce an important body of work, inks on paper and monotypes, with a technique close to that used for bookbinding papers. Printing inks spread and worked with a roller, knife, trowel, various materials (string, newspaper, small objects) will create contrasting areas, reliefs and unexpected patterns. Bookbinding paper has occupied an important place in her work. She expresses herself on large surfaces (51×70cm, 100 × 65 cm).
She collaborates with publishers, Editions du Rocher for the Alphée collection, Le Comptoir du Livre. She has also created models on fabric for decoration and furnishing houses (Etamine).
Catherine Reboul-Berlioz has numerous exhibitions to her credit and her works can be found in private collections in France and abroad.
"What interests me in Reboul-Berlioz's painting is this search for an original form of expression allowing his classical training to express itself in an abstract which, because of its third dimension, gives free rein to his poetic sense of colors as well as to the creative force of his subconscious: two elements which are found in each of his compositions, canvases or drawings.
