Helluin And Mattlinger Powder Compact For Boucheron

A charming square silver powder compact with a grooved design, a gilt lid, and a gold push-button.
The lid opens with two panels featuring an openwork and engraved design of interlaced flowers and foliage, embellished with five small rubies (originally six, one is missing).
The lid opens to reveal a mirror, which in turn reveals the powder compartment.
The French maker's mark H & 7 M for Helluin & Mattlinger is inside the panels.
There is also a hallmark on the side of the push-button.
The HELLUIN-MATTLINGER workshop specialized in cases and powder compacts from 1935 to 1959. They worked primarily for the houses of LACLOCHE and BOUCHERON.
The compact is in good overall condition, with some scratches.
One small ruby is missing.
