Pair Of Columns From A Palace In Kerala. Solid Teak. Early 19th Century.
Rare pair of courtyard columns from a palace in Kerala, South India, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century.
The base is granite, while the columns and capitals are solid teak.
The columns have brass bands at the top and base. These bands need some attention (fixing and patina) but could also be removed without detracting from the aesthetic appeal.
