JAPAN - Edo Period (1603-1868). KABUTO composed of 32 wrought iron slats. THEHEN NO ANA (opening at the top) in patinated and gilded copper with three tiers. SHIKORO (neck guard) with four tiers in glossy black lacquered iron and blue-green silk braid. FUKIGAESHI (small fins) in glossy black lacquered iron adorned with the Matsura clan mon in patinated and gilded copper. MABI SA SHI (visor) in wrought iron. WAKIDATE depicting two large gilded horns and MAEDATE in the shape of a crescent moon. Dimensions: 50 x 50.5 x 38.5 cm. Sold with the base. Dimensions with base: 61 x 50.5 x 38.5 cm.
