The piece is carved with acanthus leaves and floral decoration, the sides have molded panels, the carrying handles are wrought iron, it rests on sole feet, and the shelves are original. The piece is waxed and polished. The locks work with keys. This piece originates from the Montbéliard region and therefore has handles, as the town was a border town and its inhabitants were often forced to relocate due to invasions. This piece can also be displayed without the pediment and retain its charm. Its depth, excluding the cornice, is 46 cm, allowing for maximum space in a living room or dining room; height without the pediment: 192 cm. France, Montbéliard, 18th century.
