Buffet Two Diminutive Body In Walnut, Renaissance - XVII

Two-piece Renaissance period piece of furniture in solid walnut richly molded and carved with cherubs, arabesques and garlands of foliage. The upper part, set back, opens with two doors with a half-round molded frame and knockout. The pilaster of the central part and the ends are decorated with rings and cords holding garlands of leaves and fruit falls. Above, a secret drawer presents embossed patterns. A finely carved winged angel is surrounded by arabesques. This drawer has an interior mechanism allowing it to be opened. The lower body rests on a large projecting molded base, supported by galette feet. It opens with two leaves with a framed and recessed surround. The doors on the left side are closed by two original iron up and down elements, the door locks, keys and entrances are original. The carved moldings take up the motifs of the upper part and the drawer present in the belt also benefits from a hidden mechanism. This set is crowned by a capital with geometric shapes that can accommodate a virgin. The sides are composed of a single panel for each of the two elements. They have a central diamond knockout and triangle. All locks and entries are original and perfectly authentic.
