Large Alsatian Solid Wood Sideboard

Important Alsatian stained solid wood sideboard, dating from the 17th century circa 1650.
Very fine piece of regional furniture featuring a powerful, balanced architecture, characteristic of early Rhenish furniture.

The front is punctuated by superb twisted columns framing two molded doors.
The upper body opens with four drawers in the belt, while the lower part reveals a vast storage space with interior shelves.

The carved decoration is rich yet restrained: deep moldings, rosettes, friezes and plant elements testify to high-quality craftsmanship.
Antique bronze or brass hardware harmoniously completes the ensemble.

Very beautiful warm patina, with a robust structure typical of 17th-century Alsatian furniture.
