Buffet 2 Corps Renaissance XVII Carved Walnut

Superb and rare 17th century Renaissance buffet in finely carved walnut. It rests on 4 boulle feet surmounted by a molded plinth on which it opens 2 doors and 2 strongly molded drawers and surmounted by a tray with latches. The upper body opens with 2 doors surmounted by a cross richly carved with friezes and garlands as well as small consoles on which lies the molded cornice. The whole of the amounts are decorated with ribbings and moldings and the panels of the doors are finely carved with heads of angels, garlands, shells, dolphins, drapes ....... of a great delicacy. Entries of locks and buttons of drawers in the shape of hand of time. Furniture of very high quality with its original sculptures, having undergone light restoration of use but in very good state of conservation.
