Ovoid pewter milk jug with a quarter-round foot, cylindrical neck, hinged semi-circular lid, molded vertical handle, and dove-head spout.
Hallmarked by Nicolas DELANNOY, master in 1785:
1° - palm fronds / ND / 1785, applied twice;
2° - Saint Michael / NICOLAS DELANNOY / FIN / 1785.
Height: 37.5 cm.
LYON, Late 18th or very early 19th century.
Superb quality and condition, with a semi-dark and lustrous acquired patina.
