Antique Vietnamese solid silver cylindrical box, richly decorated in repoussé work and dating to the late 19th–early 20th century. The lid features a lively dragon in high relief among swirling clouds. The upper register shows a continuous band of carp among reeds, symbolising perseverance and success.
The body is adorned with dragons in clouds, a deer beneath a tree (symbol of longevity), flowering plum branches, and carp swimming among waves. All details are hand-chased with excellent depth and refined sculptural quality.
The base is stamped with a makers's mark.
Dimensions: Diameter 4.2 cm. Height 3.7 cm.
Condition: Good condition.
