"sun" Design Ceiling/wall Light In Gilded Iron, 1950s/60s
Large "Sun" design ceiling light (59 cm diameter) in gilded and patinated iron; it has retained its beautiful original patina. A high-quality piece, each ray of the sun is riveted to the central lens. Solid and heavy iron. The rear backlighting mechanism still has its original fittings with two bayonet sockets. The electrical system is in good working order but could potentially be updated to current standards with screw-in sockets. This large sun can also be used as a wall sconce by changing the hanging system or simply placed on a piece of furniture as a beautiful decorative object, backlit or not. Very good overall condition.
