Mid-19th Century Temple Clock With Bell
Refined temple clock, made of finely carved walnut with fruitwood inlays. The clock, covered by a glass bell jar (included in the sale), is mounted on a rectangular base with small bracket feet. The piece is enriched with floral and geometric inlays on the base and body, lending it great elegance. Further refinement is provided by the gilded bronze details, such as the band around the dial and the pendulum, which depicts a triton between two horses, whose reins he holds tightly. The clock also features a Roman numeral dial and a Parisian movement with a chime, striking the hour and half-hour. This is a tasteful and classy clock, capable of adding a touch of elegance to any space. French manufacture from the Charles X period, around the mid-19th century.
