Scriban, 18th-century Port Furniture From Nantes, Made Of Solid Mahogany
18th-century mahogany commode/scribbler. A piece of furniture from the port of Nantes. It features a drop-front framed by a molding, and on the serpentine front, four drawers in three rows with a crossbar. The drop-front reveals a compartment of niches framing a door. The piece has been cleaned and patinated in our workshop. Quarter-round uprights, a sinuous apron edged with a molding, and cabriole legs. Bronze keyhole escutcheons and drawer pulls.
