Wernicke Waterfall Large Globe Bookcase In Mahogany, With 6 Glass-fronted Cabinets And One Drawer
Rare and very large Wernicke London mahogany “Globe” bookcase from the early 20th century, consisting of 8 pieces.
A beautiful design featuring a base with a drawer and a molded cornice, along with 6 glass-fronted sections that can be completely disassembled.
This bookcase is known as a “waterfall” bookcase because it features units of varying depths, creating a beautiful, cascading silhouette: 3 large units with a depth of 34.3 cm, 2 medium ones at 28.3 cm, and 1 small one at 24.4 cm.
A bookcase with plenty of character, featuring metal hardware on the sides.
The glass panels slide inside the unit
The unit has been cleaned and given a patina finish in our workshop. There is just a small chip on one of the 5 glass panels on the left side (last photo)
