Holy Family - 18th Century
An 18th-century Flemish polychrome wooden sculpture of the Holy Family.
Our Holy Family, like an "earthly" reflection of the Holy Trinity, appears to be in motion, with sweeping gestures reminiscent of the Mannerist style. They rest on a richly ornamented base decorated with Baroque scrollwork.
At the center, a red cartouche is surrounded by three cherub heads and foliate motifs carved in relief.
Dimensions: 60 cm high x 65 cm long x 20 cm deep.
