Imposing Armenian Chalice In Silver And Vermeil - 19th Century
The circular base is decorated with a delicate frieze of cherubs in a cloud. The foot is adorned with Eucharistic symbols as well as three rare depictions: Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, the Last Supper, and the Entombment. A cartouche bears the Armenian inscription: Negdariné Koupélian, April 6, 1889. Dimensions: 31 cm, weight: 698 grams.
